Subject: Input Lag and Touchpad Issues with Unity (New Input System) — ZenBook Duo 2025 UX8406CA

Body:

Hi ASUS Team,

I’m experiencing a persistent input issue with my ZenBook Duo 2025 (UX8406CA) specifically when using Unity Editor with the New Input System enabled.

🟡 Issue Summary:

  • When Unity Editor is open (no compiling or runtime), the touchpad input lags, sometimes freezes for several seconds.

  • Right-click stops working entirely.

  • Occasionally, the touchscreen and keyboard become unresponsive or behave erratically.

  • This only occurs in Unity — other heavy apps like Rider, Chrome, and Visual Studio do not trigger the problem.

  • Happens only when the keyboard is docked. Wireless use is stable.

:white_heavy_check_mark: Troubleshooting I've Done:

  • Installed latest ASUS BLE Precision Touchpad Driver (v26.0.0.4)

  • Reinstalled ASUS System Control Interface v3 and ScreenXpert

  • Disabled Fast Startup and all power-saving options (HID, Bluetooth, I2C)

  • Performed a full EC reset

  • Tested with external mouse and keyboard – same issue.

This looks like a firmware or driver-level conflict with Unity's New Input System and the docked touchpad/keyboard mode.

:open_mailbox_with_lowered_flag: I also submitted a support case (E25040010542-0002 → N2504007359-0002), but it's been over two weeks without a reply. I'm hoping to get more visibility here.

Please let me know if there are any driver updates in progress or workarounds I could try. Thanks in advance!
