This only occurs when AC power is plugged in, everything works perfectly when using battery. I have removed and re-installed drivers with no success. This is a brand new laptop that I removed from the box yesterday. I see that there are two other questions with the same issue, but no answer has been provided. Is this a hardware issue and do I need to return my laptop or is there a software fix?

Anyone struggling to update the bios needs to use an old memory stick. Newer ones formatted with high capacity, and that's practically all of them these days) don't work. Discovered after some head scratching - probably fat32 vs exFAT vs NTFS.

Hello @Blake_ASUS , I am having the same issue with my Asus Vivobook S512FL. I get grey horizontal lines and green flashes when I use the webcam. I have already attempted the most recent BIOS update from the product page, but the issue still persists. Can I provide the Serial number through PM to get a BIOS update?
