Adaptive brightness automatically turning on

I have the asus zenbook s 13. I turn adaptive brightness off in settings and in intel graphics command centre and it just comes back on. How can i fix this?

Its usually around a minute before it turns back on

The intel graphics command centre adaptive brightness doesn't always turn back on as quickly as the one on settings, currently it is not turning back on at all but the settings one is probably every 30 seconds
