I have a Asus Vivobook 14x K3405ZF ,the fingerprint scanner of the laptop suddenly stops working atleast once a day, I have to manually restart to bios to make it working again. My laptop has a EgisTec fingerprint scanner

@heshinth
Could you please let me know if there were any warnings or alerts related to the fingerprint recognition device in the Device Manager when the issue occurred? If you uninstall the fingerprint recognition device and then reinstall the driver, does the situation improve?

Same here 😞 Since 2 weeks there is now Biometric device present in the system, I can reinstall the driver, but the device is still missing in Device Manager (not hidden, missing). There was no error message, nothing. Tried all the troubleshooting methods, rebooted to BIOS/UEFI, reinstalled Windows 11. It seems that the fingerprint reader's usb device has been removed or the system doesn't see it, so maybe some update (Windows, AMD/Nvidia driver, MyASUS?) did break this.
Modell: Vivobook Pro 15 OLED, M6500XV
Bios is: 309 (the one that still hasn't been released officially...)
