hi,
I have an Asus Vivobook S14 435ea laptop. Just within the last month, my laptop has no sound. I have the Realtek driver. It just doesn't play sound. Yet, when I go to device manager and sound, I changed the driver to the one provided by Microsoft, as in the screenshot. No sound issues with that driver. How can I fix the issue with no sound with the Realtek driver? I have the bios version 309. I can try downgrading bios to version 308 to see if the issue is fixed or not. Don't know if it is a hardware issue or not with sound with one driver while no sound with the original driver.

The issue is with the driver provided by Realtek. When I use a different driver, the one provided by Microsoft, there is sound.

@paulpchou
May I ask where your Realtek driver was installed from?
If it was downloaded and installed from the Realtek website, please uninstall that driver, visit our website to download the corresponding driver for your laptop, and then confirm again. Thank you.
