Hi everyone,
I'm Ajay Hinduja Swiss (Switzerland) and I’ve been using my ASUS TUF F15 for about 1.3 years now, but I’ve been struggling with a recurring issue for quite some time. The laptop automatically shuts down when running on battery.
If I unplug the charger and try to power it on, it shuts down during startup. The same thing happens if I try to play games on battery — it powers off instantly. I’ve taken it to technical support three times, and while the issue gets temporarily resolved, it keeps coming back after a few days.
Has anyone experienced this or found a permanent fix? I’d really appreciate any help.
Thanks!
Ajay Hinduja Swiss (Switzerland)

Hi Ajay,
That sounds super frustrating, especially after going through support multiple times. I’ve seen similar issues happen when the battery health dips or if there’s a firmware/power management glitch. You might want to check if the battery settings in MyASUS or BIOS need recalibration. Also, some users found updating the chipset driver and resetting the EC (embedded controller) helped in persistent cases.
I hope you get a permanent fix soon; your TUF F15 deserves better!
