I can confirm this on RoG 2. I have been facing this issue, and been able to reproduce it the you explained.

Though I have tried the same with phone app version with my other non asus device and didn't face the issue.

Sp it could be asus specific.

@Anders_ASUS @CH_ASUS people comment on this topic.

As google dialer is officially supported this should be addressed.

They don't have to support Google dialer. They only have to support part of the OS which is causing this misbehavior.

And they should atleast update the telephony service with this

While playing games , people are implicitly looking at the screen , there is no need to pause game music and play ringtone instead. Secondly, even if the cross(X) is pressed, the game music doesnot resume until the call is over.

@Anders_ASUS please look into this matter. "It's the subtlety that makes all the difference in the world"
