battery indicator bug rog 6 indonesia user

amongkoko

hello asus user

i using rog 6 now in indonesia, latest firmware updated, no root, 10 months already

recently my battery indicator bug, sometimes stuck in some % level too long, yesterday i charged my phone from 40% to 53%, and no increase, and after aprox. one hour, it jump to 100%

everytime i played i always use bypass charging, limit battery to 80% and ultra steady charge

at night i played games 4 hours undawn (kinda heavy drain battery game), this morning still 100%

please give me way to fix it, except battery calibration 100 to 0, 0 to 100 (already tried, problem exist again)

i wanna know it is bug or no

cleared health device, clear game genie app, clear power master too

if the battery leak or broken, it should not last long, read above again.

i already read many zentalk discussion about battery issues, and there is no fixed solution (i try google too, they say calibrate)

i dont think calibrate is the best solution, because the problem can be back again

draining battery to 0% and full charge can make battery broke faster

thanks

sorry bad english

Hi and thanks for the information @amongkoko I'll send the information to the dev team so that they can have a look at it.

I got a message from the dev team and they wonder if you can provide a log recreating the issue so that they can see what is happening.
I'm writing the steps down below, and feel free to send me the link with the log once you are done.
*********************

Please follow the below steps to enable the built-in log tool (Bug reporter).
1. Open “Calculator APP”
2. Enter “.19595+=”
3. Select the Log type according to the type of issue you want to capture. “General cases” will work for most issues.
4. After your selection the log tool will exit so you can duplicate the issue or wait for it to happen. Try to use the screen recorder to show your issue when possible. If you can't screen record your issue, then please take a screenshot right after the issue has occurred (as a timestamp) so we know where to look in the log.
5. Navigate back to the log tool via calculator and Tap "FINISH AND SHARE".
6. It takes several minutes for the log to generate. You can exit and do other stuff in the meantime. A silent notification will tell you once the process is done. Tap the notification and then the share button to upload the file to Google Drive and share the link with a moderator. Just make sure to change the permission first so that everyone with the link has permission to view it.
Note: When you're no longer planning on logging your device, enter “.09595+=” in the calculator and the log tool will stop as well as deleting all stored log files. Make sure to share via calculator. The files found in internal storage -> asus_log are not the correct files (they are only 1.2kb)

Thanks Mattias for ur respond.

Its just same answer like another same thread issues.

I am dissapoint with asus service centre.

Yesterday i go to service centre and they need to leave my phone the fastest 7 days

What a nonsense asus service centre

I hope in the future they can fix  in place to check and repair

I already do calibrating more than 3 times.

(Drain to 0 until cant power on

Charge to full, unplug. Then power on

Drain until 50%

Switch off

Charge to full. Unplug

Power on again

This morning my battery indicator back to normal. Will check again in next few days

And i have a weird question.

When i play game, my phone battery heat up until 40% C, its normal

Then i use to spray alcohol to back phone and screen, to make it fast cooling.

U know alcohol is little freezing

Do this make battery indicator abnormal ???

I am back with battery calibration. My battery comes to normal whenever i played games i always use alcohol spray to make my phone fast cool.

I dont use bypass charging anymore

I still in doubt bypass charging make my battery indicator bug. Cant measure the rigth %

For all whoever experienced this.

I have been tested my battery. Spray alcohol disinfectant to fast cool my device when i play game

I charges normally

With asus ori and samsung ori charger

All good

Battery indicator works normal

I dont brave enough to play and bypass charging

I think the battery indicator problem come from bypass charging

I always use bypass charging when i play games. I think bypass make battery indicator misbehaviour

Thanks

Just sharing
