System: Asus ROG Strix G Core i5 9th Gen Battery or AC: Model: G531GT-BQ002T Frequency of occurrence: Reset OS: Windows 10 Screenshot or video: ======================== Detailed description:My laptop is under 1 Year International Hardware Warranty. Recently I have asked about upgrading RAM in my laptop and care center told me they charge 800 RS. for the installation apart from RAM chip price, as its policy of company. Is it true? I have to pay even if my laptop is under warranty? I have used laptops of different companies and none of them asked for installation charges ever. It's my first time with Asus though, hope it wont be worst. Please provide information. Thank You.
Hi, Upgrading RAM is not part of the warranty service, it's changing the original hardware specification, isn't it? And installation requires service fee, isn't it? We are pretty sure this is an universal rule. Thank you.
Sure, but not going to enjoy the fact that I will purchase a RAM chip of approx $135 from company and yet they need $10 more for just putting it inside laptop. Oh well, thank you for reply. 🙂
