I just got an a tuf F15 FX507ZI4-LP031

and I am currently trying to install windows, but my driver is not showing up so I figured I would try to “clean” it but it says I can’t due a I/o device error

I am really upset because I got it for a new course I am starting today. does that mean I have faulty a device?  What can I do?

Hello,

first of all, can you show "list disk" command's output in diskpart?

You may download e.g. Hiren's BootCD PE and create bootable flash drive using Rufus.

And then show screenshot of Crystal Disk Info or of similar bundled software to show the hard drive's diagnostic data (S.M.A.R.T.).

If the laptop is new, and if the drive is faulty, you can use it to claim your warranty (RMA).
