Blinking notification LED not working for SMS, email,....

Description: The blinking notification LED for when I receive an SMS or email, etc....doesn't work?? In Settings/Apps & notifications/Blink light is set to ON. In Settings/Display/LED indicator is set to ON as well. . If you need to know anything else, don't hesitate to ask.

It's all there in the description section (don't understand why there is both the description section and this area available to describe the problem?)
