Upgrading my router

should i be able to transfer the configuration from an ASUS RT-Ac56u to a TUF Gaming BE9400 by saving and restoring it?

Not advisable. There are too many differences between a WiFi 5 router and a WiFi 7 router.

You could take screenshots of the configuration pages and try manually entering the same settings, but configuring a WiFi 7 router with WiFi 5 settings sort of defeats the purpose of the upgrade as @Alex52 notes.
