Router in AP mode

I use my RT-AC66U in Access point mode. It works fine, but why do I see both main router (Tecnicolor) and ASUS AP router's SSID? I'd like to use only one SSID to avoid change of wifi when moving around.

Sounds like you are looking for a mesh type functionality.  Unfortunately most networking equipment from different manufacturers don't mesh, meaning automatic handing off as a device moves from one node to another.  If you find a setting in each called WiFi Agile MultiBand I suggest you enable it.  That will help:

You'll need to go to the ASUSwrt or ASUS router application and rename the SSID and password to match the Technicolor's:

An alternative would be to hard reset it and then follow the AP setup instructions here:

Thanks for the reply! I changed ASUS SSID to the same as the Tecnicolor's. When choosing wifi in phone or laptop it appears only on instance of this SSID, I guess it will connect to the one with the strongest signal. In my Network analyser app I can see the two routers, but having the same SSID. I could wonder if e.g. the laptop will seamlessly change to the nearest router or if I have to disconnect and connect again.
