Parental Controls Specifics

I enabled Parental Controls on my ASUS RT-AX3000, but want to enable some services for my daughter's school computer. Where can I find a list of specific services blocked in each category (e.g. Streaming and Entertainment)? For example, re-enabled (unchecked) Internet Radio and TV, but my daughter can't access Spotify. Is Spotify under the Media Streaming category? I don't need a comprehensive list (since I know that is likely an ever-changing list), but at least some examples of what services/products/sites fit into each category would be helpful. Thanks!

Hi @jaco1994 ,

based on your issue, could you please try checking if selecting only "media streaming" for Spotify allows it to play? Under normal circumstances, Spotify is categorized under "media streaming." Additionally, please ensure that your router's firmware is up to date.

We also kindly request that you provide a feedback log for our reference. You can submit a feedback form through the Web GUI at http://www.asusrouter.com with the following steps:

  1. Connect your device to your router and log in to the Web GUI at http://www.asusrouter.com.
  2. Locate "Administration" and click on "Feedback."
  3. Fill in your region, email (required field), ASUS Service No./Case No. (not required), select the feedback problem, and provide a description. You can also include any comments or suggestions, as more details may help us analyze the issue more efficiently.
  4. Read the agreement and click "I agree."
  5. Click "Send" to submit your feedback.

After submitting the feedback, please send us the product serial number, the time you submitted the issue report, the email you used for the report, and the time when the issue occurred via private message. Thank you.

Hi @jaco1994 ,

regarding your question about which applications fall into which categories, we understand that you would like to know how to categorize specific apps. However, since we cannot directly access the specific list of websites and applications you use, we can currently provide some common categories for reference to assist you in making the appropriate settings.
Currently, we have identified that music applications are typically categorized under "Media Streaming." However, we would need more information about your specific needs to ensure that we can help you disable or enable specific applications.

Could you please specify which applications you currently wish to disable? Additionally, which applications do you need to retain access to? This information will help us make the relevant settings to meet your needs.

Thank you.
