Hello,
I am trying to connect an Alarm.com Stream Video Recorder to the router. I am supposed to connect an ethernet cable from the unit and and plug it into the router and power on the SVR. The SVR should be able to connect to the network and internet and then I should be able to configure and add the SVR to my ADC account. The router never recognizes the SVR is connected, almost as if it is blocking it or something. I have checked the firewall settings and nothing seems to be setup to block incoming connections, as I think the settings are default. Alarm.com personnel advised me to try another router, which I did, and the SVR did in fact immediately connect with no issue. Therefore there must be a setting in the ET12 that is preventing the SVR to connect to the internet. Any suggestions please? TIA

You could try a different port on the ET12? Is the firmware updated to the most current:

Thanks for the reply. I did update to the most recent firmware and I have tried several ports on the main unit and satellite with the same results. I also connected the SVR to my neighbors router and it connected w no issues so I know my ET12 is blocking it for some reasons??? Any other advice...TIA

I put the same recommendation in a different thread (maybe in the ROG forums), and the person followed by flashing a few different firmware until it bricked his router, so maybe only try this once: flash the second newest firmware and see if it resolves. Flash back to the latest and send a Feedback, under Advanced Settings -> Administration -> Feedback (tab).

Sorry for the delayed response.. I did not have my notification settings setup for this thread.
Anywho, just as an update, I already mentioned I am able to connect the SVR to a neighbors router now problem. In addition, the SVR company (Alarm.com) has been trying to help me with this and as a troubleshooting item they asked I connect a second TP Link Archer AX6000 router (WAN port) I had lying around to the Asus main router (LAN port) and then connect the SVR to a LAN port on the TP Link. It worked! The SVR was able to connect, albeit to the TP link network which of course isn't ideal. But I guess this is more evidence the ASUS ET12 is blocking the SVR for some reason since now I know the SVR can connect to a neighbors router and my other TP link router. Obviously I would like to resolve this issue and connect the SVR directly to the ASUS and remove the TP Link from the equation..
With that said, so I understand correctly. After installing the most recent firmware as you instructed prior, you now want me to revert back to the second most recent firmware, and see if it resolves. If not, then re instal the most recent firmware (which I currently am running) and see if that works.. If not, then send feedback through admin tab? Do I have this right...I obviously don't want to brick this router...It is awesome other than this current issue!!
Thanks again!! I appreciate it.
Second most recent firmware from website.
