My Chromebook is not turning on

Hi, I have been trying to turn on my Chromebook with no success. It displays the message  “Your system is applying a critical update. Please do not turn it off” then It Turns Off

What could be the problem?

May I know what happened to your chromebook before this?
For example: have you done a system update, or other operations?

I have not updated it since November last year. and there are no other operations I have done
