Same ramdump screen issue happened to me just now. Tried to reboot with volume/power combinations but no success. I'm only able to turn off screen with vol down/power to prevent OLED screen burn.
So the only solution is to bring it to a service center?
Yes and you're now number 20 to make it over here. The only solution unfortunately is to send it back and Asus will take their sweet time, to repair and send back. You're better off buying another phone and when you get the zenfone back, sell it off!
Just curious....is there any thread on XDA on this topic as well? Other than that how do you guys think of having a petition page? All we want is just a freakin' explanation and acknowledgement from Asus which until now we still don't have.
The more we make this issue available in different platforms the better. I'm not calling for a boycott cos I believe in each person's right to decide on which phone they want to buy, but by giving an honest feedback would at least warn them on the possible issues they might face.
After 2 weeks in assistance no information arrived !!!! Our Asus moderators seem to have left for the holidays and here we find ourselves telling the same stories after spending 1000 €. Thanks Asus
Sorry for the unfortunate timing, but no need. Pretty much the same day it went on delivery back to me. It should arrive tomorrow. Pretty satisfied with the repair time. Didn't get notifications in the meantime about the repair. But overall it isn't too bad. I'll keep you all posted on condition. I put my autograph on the inside on the box on several hidden places to see if I got a new box and/or content.
I agree, considering the issue has nothing to do with whether or not phone is rooted, I think Asus are being unreasonable here. This only creates a more toxic relationship with customers.

Still nothing from Asus... I'm afraid that they think that only cases reported here are ongoing cases...
And why the hell we are complaining here. Asus still say that it's great phone, so where's our problem? 😂😂😂
I feel for the people still buying this phone!

Also. Next time I am going to attempt fixing it myself.

This problem seems really similar. And I will try it on my zenfone 8 if it happens again.
Hello! For me, too, this problem went down from one moment to the next on September 16, 2021.
waiting for the flashing full ram to be deposited .....
I am from Hungary, I was told by the telephone customer service that the phone will be serviced in the Czech Republic.
Join the club buddy, you're number 21.
Thanks, but I'm not happy I'm here.
I submitted a service request looking forward to the RMA number and then the courier.
Yes non of us are happy. Its all Asus fault. I have learnt a big lesson. Next time I'm staying away from Asus.
They've put a 100% undeveloped product on the market and customers are paying for it
Hi people. Can please share manufacturing dáte ? My zf 8 mfd is 2021/4. My zf8 still working...
Yes and definitely staying away from anything with a label Asus in future. Learnt the hard way.
Hi,
Another bricked Zenfone 8 here from Belgium, arrived last week in CZ and they denied the warranty because I’ve been using an “unlock tool”.
They are asking for 500,28€ to replace the logic board, which I’m obviously not paying.
Any advices on how to answer?
Thanks.
2021/05, still ok
