At least on "taiwan version" the display is still color banded. However phone feels much snappier so it's still worth installing, also updated security update etc.

Ah, that's a shame but understandable. Thanks, though.

Well the reason I made the A10 kernel and shared it everywhere was mainly to pressure ASUS to get a fix out themselves, but having users ask when they get an update or a feature on my kernel is quite annoying. Another big issue is that my private kernel is more personilized than the public one i share with people. So I'd have to maintain 2 kernels which again is just annoying work, huge props to people who have the time and patience with kernel development over a long peroid of time.
I was quite sure that ASUS would get a fix out with the A11 stable update, but was proven otherwise, I simply refuse to believe that developers who get paid cannot fix a problem since a year now, which a single software developer could fix in his spare time in 1 week's worth of work alone and with little to no prior experience with compiling linux kernels or the C language beforehand.
I will assume that this is either due to stricly not being allowed to work on a fix or complete and utter negligence of the problem.

Told you. Building custom kernel or ROM is fun at first but then, people will start asking for an update and adding more features🤣🤣

Asking is fine but when people start demanding things it gets annoying
