Recover BIOS USB Flash Drive

My son turned off his computer whilst the BIOS was updating, and now we need to recover the BIOS via USB.
The message sounds:
1 Download BIOS file from asus offical website
2 Put in under the root directory on storage device
3 Turn off computer
4 Plug in the storage device and keep your computer connected to the power adapter
5 Turn on your computer and then recovery will start autmatically

I have done all of the above, but the same message keeps coming up.
I have used a formated (fat32) USB device, and saved the bios file on the root directory.

Do I need to rename the BIOS file for this to work?

Cant recover current bios from motherboard. only bios upgrading is possible.

I have tried this, but it still starts up with the same notification on the screen (the 1-5 mentioned above).
