Can't delete any app from the phone after latest software update.

Hi, kindly help us with the following information to find a solution to your query.
1. Firmware version your device is on.
2. Elaborate more on your concern.

2. To delete any app from the phone I have to press and hold the app icon for a second or two and a cross icon appears in top right corner of every app pressing which we can delete it.
Before the last firmware update I was able to delete apps in above way which was normal
But after the update I am not able to delete any app in any way.
