Are exFAT external drives/SD cards working?

Looking at buying a Zenfone 9 in the future, can anyone confirm if the ZF9 (Android 12 or 13) can natively read/write to exFAT external USB drives? Mentioned below:

It's great for backing up on the fly, either from the Zenfone to a USB drive, or from an SD card (camera) to Zenfone to USB drive (in the absence of a laptop) since most SD cards are using exFAT in cameras too.

Hi, exFAT is working on my USB stick (I have Android 13).

Thanks a lot, that's great to hear!
It means I should be able to use the phone to back up photos from my camera, without needing a laptop 🙂
