Spotify app isn't compatible with my ZenPhone 8

Hi
I'm not able to install the Spotify app on my freshly updated ZenFone 8. I have contacted Spotify support team and they said that shouldn't have been a problem as the minimal requirement is Android 5. I have contacted the GooglePlay support team. They did not resolved the issue and advised to contact the manufacture of my phone.

Could anyone help me with it, please?

Hello @dantaiko

Can you please follow the troubleshooting steps below :

  • Make sure the phone is connected to the Internet so you can check whether there is a network icon of either mobile data or Wi-Fi on the status bar to confirm the stability of the network.
  • Check if there is enough storage space : Settings > Storage & memory.

  • Reboot your phone.

  • Clear data or cache for Play Store: Settings > Apps & notifications > App info > Google Play Store > Storage & memory > Clear data or Clear cache.

  • Re-install apps: Settings > Apps & notifications > app info (select an app) Uninstall and then re-install it in Play Store.

  • Confirm/Update the firmware to the latest version: Settings > System > System updates > Check Now.

Hi Keren
Thanks for your response.
I have performed each and every step from your reply.
My phone has the latest update and any other app is updated without any problem, but there is still an issue with Spotify app.

Hi  @dantaiko

I'm so sorry about this.

Can you please go to the Google Play App > account image > settings > about> check the status of "play protect certification" to verify if the device is certified?

If the device shows as not certified, please DM me the SN of your phone.

Thank you!
