Native Camera App Not Working but works on Whatsapp and MS-Teams

I seem to be facing the same camera issue as other people.
@zgredek94 , @itaipeter , @yoyoma

In many apps, including the native camera app, my camera doesn't work at all.

However, it works on WhatsApp and MS-Teams.

I tried the SMMI Test (Calculator> type ".12345+=">SMMI TEST>Single Test) as suggested by @keren_ASUS .

Front Camera1 and Rear Camera2 seem to work fine, but Rear Camera1 is still stuck.

I tried also follwoing steps:

  1. clearing the cache, removing the storage, force-stopping the app,
  2. checking for new updates, but there are none.
  3. Giving allow premissions to Camera app like @zgredek94 suggested - https://zentalk.asus.com/t5/zenfone-8/camera-app-zenfone-8/m-p/169526
  4. install different app like Android Camera but got same resualts
  5.  

I couldnt find Google Camera like @johndalicandro  suggested in his thread, i assumed maybe he means Pixel Camera but could not install it on my phone even using apk file.
in Native camera i cannot change the modes like he suggested

You will likely need to replace the camera module yourself, or have someone do it for you.

How much should it cost to replace a camera module?

Honestly I really considering to buy new phone and that it.

It's really fast phone and small phone that works mostly flawless. But battery drain is really fast, camera quality is bad and it missing eSIM.

I paid 108 euros plus shipping for the camera module. Given that the phone seems to be getting it's last updates given the diminishing frequency, and that the bootloader unlock tool is still MIA, buying a new one might be a better idea altogether.
