Visiting Settings just now I was offered the option / opportunity in a dialog box at the top of the list to set Left and Right shortcuts at the Home Screen bottom corners. I set Phone and Text and closed the box.
These shortcuts do not appear.
I cannot find how to visit this option again, now that the box has disappeared.
All software and hardware up to date.
