Blurry moving objects

The camera takes good still pictures, but even in daylight only slightly moving persons or objects become blurry and make the pictures useless. Not to talk about dim environment.

What are the actual camera settings? Any examples? Which mode do you use?

Brand new phone. I opened the built-in app with "out-of-the-box" settings (Auto HDR, Auto Flash) and shot a few pictures under cloudy skies in plain daylight.
Shutter time seems to be way too long, pictures of kids playing football are completely useless like that.

...and the mode is "Photo" (in the slomo, video, portrait etc. line)

This is what it looks like. And the snowflakes are lines not flakes.
