Answering incoming calls

I keep trying to answer incoming calls by raising my new Zenfone 6 to the ear (just like I did it on my LG 4 before) but it only works maybe 1 out 10 times, instead it just rings on. Any suggestions please?

Ok I see what's the problem is. If incoming call has not been answered, I cannot minimize it because no navigation bar is available.
I tried my OnePlus 5, I can't minimize it by Back and Home button, but I can use Recent app button to switch to other app. So asus should not make incoming call screen immersive.

Just swipe up from bottom edge to make navigation bar visible.
