I am a citizen of the Russian Federation. A month ago, my Beeline operator (also known as VimpelCom) received a notification with the following content:
"We are switching from 3G to 4G network. Your phone and SIM card do not support the new network, so it is recommended to replace them with new ones with 4G support. This will improve the quality of calls and avoid problems with the Internet.
SIM card replacement is free, you need to show your passport. The phone number and tariff plan will not change.

To select a smartphone with 4G support, follow the link: https://cm.beeline.ru/i/O7Eq1DvVKuxj4bhZ .
You can find out about the transition to a 4G network on the website: https://beeline.ru/np4g .
I have an Asus ZenFone 11 Ultra smartphone, but the VoLTE function does not work. The operator claims that everything is set up correctly from the operator's side, and the problem should be solved by updating the smartphone firmware. Would you like to know when it will be done?

VoLTE was removed for Russia since Zenfone 10. This is due to the sanctions.
They no longer sell phone officially there as well. Similar to Canada (they removed VoLTE there as well but due to monopoly issue)
