Mic problem when external mic (from earphone) is used.

As the title suggests I'm facing mic issue on all calls when external mic from headphone is used. People facing the same issue please upvote this problem.

I'm using Sennheiser Momentum 4 with  Bose QuietComfort Headphones Aux/Mic Cable. I'm sorry to say this is a really weird question - what has headphone got to do with it when they are used passively in wired mode?

This is also Bose inline cable with mic used with Sennheiser M 4 used to work perfectly before the right ear stopped working. Please hope you will not respond again with explaining they are of not same brand.

Hi @RaginYak 

Based on the headphone model you provided, the audio cable uses a 2-ring connector. This means the built-in microphone won't work in wired mode, which is by design for these headphones.

Regarding the sound you sometimes hear, we think it might be due to how close or far you are from your phone while using them.

Why do you take us for a fool? I'm pretty aware about that - that's why I purcased extra cable from Bose with INLINE-MIC CABLE. Prior to this cable I was using another Bose inline-mic cable which was working fine. Also I was using Sony XM4 headphone with generic cable with inline-mic (because the original box came with just cable just like Sennehiser).

Please when we post here(most of us know what/why we are posting here). I wish the moderators are mindful of what they reply here. The way you responded is mindless of you and not very tech specialist alike
