Data transmission does not work during calls

Aye aye Zenphoners!
Today  while traveling abroad (Rimming was On) I noticed that I do not receive messages on Whatsap during a phone call. 

Any tips & tricks how to solve this?

VoLTE  isn't active, so You are using 3G/2G to calls. In 3G/2G You can only use data transmision or make call at once.
