Hi,
I am located in Malaysia currently, and looking to buy Zenbook duo 2025 version (285H) UX8406CA from ASUS US’s partner (Amazon or BH).
however I have some questions about the warranty, and I tried my best to dig around info before asking it here.
1) by default, does this model have 2 years international warranty which is claimable in Malaysia ? If not , is this model purchased from US is applicable for ASUS premium care international warranty which is claimable in Malaysia?
2) does anyone have direct email address to related ASUS department? I tried calling their international number but my phone wasn’t able to link it through, via their portal email support, must buy first with serial number only can check. It’s kinda very weird actually to only serve existing customer, what if there is a potential genuine new customer??
million thanks !

This depends on whether the product/specifications you purchased come with international warranty and whether it has a two-year warranty. To my understanding, products sold in the United States typically have only a one-year warranty. Regarding the issue of activating the extended warranty, we recommend that you consult with the local customer service.

Hi,
thanks for the reply.
my main issue is, I cannot get in contact with ASUS US side, tried so many method , as if in nature ASUS only wan us to deal with local ASUS, which is not that helpful as the product is purchased online from US.
I found out from an online shop (BH) in US that, they mentioned that it is 1 year local warranty, however I can purchase APC to extend it to international 3 years, in which he mentioned he spoken to ASUS US representative and confirmed it.
however when I check ASUS website, it is saying the APC only applicable in US, purchase, activate and use within US. And the serial number is region sensitive . My local ASUS know nothing about it until i actually bought and present them with a number. I feel ASUS service that is heavily limited existing user is not very friendly at all.
so the best way for me to resolve this is, for me to email ASUS directly to clarify this issue, however there is no direct line I can call from Malaysia , I tried the international line it doesn’t work, online chat also no as it require serial number and also region locked.
so what I need most now is an email that can contact ASUS warranty department directly.

As mentioned in my previous response, if you are purchasing a laptop shipped from the United States, we recommend that you confirm with the retailer whether the laptop comes with a one-year or two-year warranty and whether it includes international warranty. If you wish to activate an extended warranty, we suggest you check with the service team in Malaysia to see if you can purchase an extended warranty in Malaysia that applies to the laptop you bought from the United States. Thank you.
