Cannot register device and touchpad doesn't work

I cannot register my Zenbook and I have double checked all the details are correct. Also my touchpad doesn't work , it did but stopped working. I have looking on Asus website, online and downloaded the manual (which is useless). The advise I've received is of not use, I don't get  the options people are giving me. I think it just needs activating.
