Hi, I have a Asus Zenbook that has recently started printing the wrong characters when you press some keys.
If I press 'p' a '*' appears, '0', '?' and ')' are also not working. As the keys are close you one another, I thought they might have a common cause. Also, these keys work if I press the 'fn' key at the same time.
I tried removing the device from Control Panel and letting windows reinstall it, based on advise online, but no effect.
If this is wear and tear, can these keys be fixed? As these keys do not get used that much at all, I wear and tear was unlikely.
Could it be a driver issue?

Please boot your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If the keys work correctly in Safe Mode, a recently installed application or update may be causing the problem. Or you can connect an external keyboard to your laptop. If the external keyboard works correctly, it indicates that the issue might be with the built-in keyboard. Sorry for any inconvenience it may be caused.
