Christine_ASUSAgain I am really trying to avoid factory reset cause I don't want to lose my data. Since ASUS won't let me root my device, I'm really stuck. You have no tools for repairing the android OS?Hi Marco

1. Please try System>App & notifications>See all apps>3 dots on the top row>Reset app preferences
2. Also, please try "the Factory Reset"
Settings>System>Reset options>Erase all data(factory reset)
Please note that once the Factory Reset is completed, all data, apps, settings and personal information will be deleted.
If the situation remains the same, please contact ASUS repair center in the country of your residence for further device checking: https://www.asus.com/support/Service-Center-All-Countries/
If it is impossible to access the service center during Covid-19 period, please try Call us: https://www.asus.com/support/CallUs
Furthermore, please understand that the process of unlock/root, in the purpose of installing unofficial rom/app, may cause unexpected software behavior so that the unlock/root devices are regarded as out of warranty devices.
