I'm tired of Asus ROG series...

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro was marketed as a revolutionary gaming smartphone, designed to deliver unmatched performance and an exceptional experience for gamers. While its premium design, high-end specifications, and impressive features initially captivated tech enthusiasts, the reality of using this device has left many users disappointed. The phone suffers from significant issues that undermine its performance and overall reliability, making it far from the flawless product it claims to be.

Among the most glaring problems, random reboots occur frequently, especially when activating the X Mode or launching graphically intensive games. This is particularly frustrating for gamers who expect stability during competitive play. Additionally, the camera performance is subpar for a flagship device, with users reporting issues like multicolored lines during zoom and failures in the front camera—problems that are unacceptable at this price point.

Sound quality is another major drawback. The distorted audio when interacting with the screen points to poor internal ventilation design. A gaming phone at this level should deliver impeccable sound quality, but this oversight detracts from its premium appeal. Moreover, the charging port located at the bottom accumulates dust easily, resulting in connectivity problems that disrupt fast charging, raising long-term durability concerns.

One of the most disappointing aspects is the visual artifacts that appear during gameplay, despite the phone’s promise of delivering a cutting-edge graphical experience. Additionally, the Game Genie, a critical tool for optimizing gaming performance, often fails to function properly, leaving users unable to access essential features like temperature monitoring and graphics customization.

Users have also reported consistent app compatibility issues, with third-party applications frequently crashing or failing to run as expected, even after updates. The phone's network connectivity is another pain point, with problems connecting to mobile networks or Wi-Fi, an essential feature for online gaming and everyday use.

Perhaps the most troubling hardware issue is the back panel detaching—a defect that exposes internal components and compromises the device's integrity. On the software side, ASUS’s slow updates exacerbate the situation, leaving many bugs and glitches unresolved for extended periods.

Finally, one of the phone’s most critical flaws lies in its thermal management. The ROG Phone 8 Pro overheats significantly during prolonged gaming sessions, leading to thermal throttling, where performance is intentionally reduced to manage heat levels. This results in a noticeable drop in frame rates and an overall decline in gaming quality, directly contradicting its marketing claims of delivering a superior gaming experience.

You should write a geek book, man.

I feel your complains, but those does not happen to everyone.

Exactly as you say, look at the posts, each one has a different error, either due to the manufacturing batch, or even due to the software itself, they are different problems.

All these bugs are a compilation of the posts here and in other groups.

ASo the software across all regions and how it is delivered is not homogeneous, check the list of posts.

The problem is that Asus does not do things quickly when its latest premium phones are the exact copy of the ZenFone, the unit claims to be in performance and the public.

My ROG Phone 8 Pro Tencent works PERFECTLY with the latest update to date (WW-34.1420.1420.486).
I had no complaints about it.
I don't have the back cover lifted because of the swollen battery.
The triggers work perfectly, they didn't come off either.
All the cameras work without drama.
I even have the Google AGC installed and it works at the same time as the ASUS camera App.
And that's even though I use it intensively.

The only thing I complained about was that four Firmwares ago the battery wore out faster, until in version .480 ASUS got its act together and solved this problem.
There were users who didn't even notice this problem... Placebo effect.

I'll add, by the way, that I always keep it clean and protected.
I have the DEVILCASE Standard case and it's the best case for the cell phone.
All covered in rubber. Last time I dropped it on the floor from a height of 80 cm and the case didn't even get scratched.
The cell phone is well protected inside there, as if it had just been taken out of the box.

The dust issue is solved by blowing it out every now and then.
The cell phone definitely has protection against dust, which prevents it from entering inside.
That the dust stays outside, is another thing. It's a matter of blowing it out with air and that's it!.

The only thing I can complain about regarding the ROG brand in terms of cell phones, is with the accessories.
For example, they previously released the ROG TwinView Dock 3

Which today, can't even be used on a ROG Phone 8, or a 9...
I mean, whoever bought that, by now must have it lying around in a corner or have sold it.
And if someone wants to use that with a current ROG 8 or 9, THERE IS NO WAY to do it.
It's really unfortunate...
