ROG 6 Asus launcher screen touch issue

 this just happened to my son’s phone. It’s only 2 months old.

 When trying to launch apps or open app folders, the Asus launcher doesn’t respond. I can tell the phone registered the touch because I turned on touch visualizations in developer mode. It seems to be specific to the Asus launcher because after I launch app or game, screen touches are fine. Only screen touches when in the Asus launcher is affected. 

i tried x-mode, ultra durable mode in armoury crate, I also tried glove mode, I also tried different screen refresh rates, I tried restarting the phone…I’ve also tried clearing the cache for the Asus launcher and also clearing storage for the launcher as well which meant I had to re-set up my icons and groups…

im out of options… I’ve read only a few posts from others with similar problem but no one seems to have identified solution

My son said it never happened before, he didn’t install any programs

I installed Nova launcher and that works, even installed new ROG 7 ver of Asus launcher, didn’t work… 

ended up doing a hard reset and reinstalling all my apps, which fixed problem

Hi! It sounds like it could have been some leftover code after updating the phone that may have caused an issue.
Is this still happening after doing a factory reset?
