The fact you consider Rooting phones proof of being tech savy only strenghtends my point. I got a discord full of people who arent tech savy and still root their phones.
I'm not assuming, I'm basing it on facts due to teardowns and using my knowledge to make educated guesses. I successfully predicted the state, issues and cause on release with the Rog5. Much like now I've been hated on by fanboys but later most of them came back apologizing while begging me for help because they now sit with a broken phone.

Hello,
I was enjoying my phone until it stopped recognizing one of my SIM cards. I tried everything and SIM 1 part is not working. I also cannot check the SIM card properties or mobile data properties etc. since they are not in the menu.
Another problem is, I cannot save my fingerprint anymore, since it cannot be activated as well.
I did factory reset to my Rog Phone and still those problems are going on. What could be the solution?

ROG Phone 5: Motherboard failure or other hardware issues

However lets proceed to the Rog6, already people made some comments about the watered down phone compared to Rog6 so I'll disregard that for now, here are the broken ones you asked for:Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:

My rog phone 5 died suddenly won't turn or charge, when I took it for service center they told me that it is motherboard failure and I need to replace it for 44 thousand and I had paid the phone 50 thousand, my warranty is expired as my phone is 1 year 4 months old. Is there any way to get my phone fixed for any lower cost or any chances to claim the faulty motherboard issue? can anyone let me know? This is the worst phone i have bought till now with such cheap components in the phone and I will never recommend this brand to anyone Asus rog 5 is really the worst phone to buy for the price.

genius7321The reason you don't see as many XDA topics yet is simply due to the fact that only very few have made it out of China yet, even in china there really arent that many just yet, however as usual, the reports of broken phones are already there, given the extremely low amount of Rog6 in the wild to begin with, this is already terrible to begin with.正常充電，半夜起來發現手機開不了，充電也沒用，只剩下永遠亮著的電源指示燈。
