Rog 5 Google wallet stopped working doesn't meet security

Title says it all same issue as all the other rog fones and zen phones. Worked yesterday now no chance. Have another exact same phone works on that one same app version every thing is up to date so don't bother saying update it. Device is protected and what not from Google play I'm lost no ideas apart from factory reset which is totally last resort.

Same here, whadaheeiiiilll Asus, this is a 1000 USD phone, less than 2 years use and you can't use a Google wallet!!!!

I was thinking of upgrading my Rog Phone 5 to the latest Rog version for Christmas, but after the Google Wallet incident, it seems risky to me.
It was a great time with the Rog 5, but now I'm moving on to another brand. I hope to go back to Rog in the future if the support for older models gets better.

 I agree with you, I am also abandoning Asus for the same reason #abandonAsusRogPhone Let's promote this # until Asus support  Start treating your users with respect and dignity

I also started having the same problem overnight with my current Zenfone. When I bought it, I was hesitant because of the short software update period for the model (only 2 or 3 years after launch). Now, with my Wallet app crashing (I’d love for Asus to fix this issue on my already outdated Zenfone, but I find it unlikely), I realized I’ll have to replace my smartphone. I considered the Zenfone 10 (in terms of hardware: what a smartphone! Small and powerful, with an incredible battery. Asus really knows how to make phones), but I noticed it was launched a year ago and only offers a total of two years of updates (meaning by the end of next year, it will be outdated). For the same price, I could get the iPhone 15, which offers longer update support and has excellent resale value. Truly a shame.
