Google Pay nfc won't work?

Am I the only one? What do I do? 

NFC is on, app is opened, card is freshly added, latest Android 12.

Make sure your phone is awake and unlocked. Hold your phone in a different way. Your NFC antenna could be near the top or middle of your device. Hold your phone closer to the payment reader.

Nfc chip is under the camera as it shows in the settings

The problem started since December for me 

Before it didn't have any problems 

I just press the power button and hold it 

Now I unlock it try different positions hold for longer until i can pay its annoying
