NexTRTLI guess you got the defective product.Please tell us some basic information before asking for help:
- Firmware Version:17.0823.2008.78
- Rooted or not: not rooted
- Frequency of Occurrence: Every time.
- Model Name:Rog phone 3
- APP Name & APP Version (If your issue relates to the app):
In addition to information above, please also provide as much details as you can, e.g., using scenario, what troubleshooting you've already done, screenshot, etc.

Scenario : Bought Phone(ROG Phone 3) on the 22nd October, brought the phone home , tested all functionality.
I am able to charge on the bottom port and side port. Everything works fine.
Midnight came , firmware update came in as phone was booted up only night time.
now its 23rd October , i am no longer able to charge using the bottom port of my phone.
What have i tested?
Use the same charger with a different phone - Yes , charger works
Use different charger with your phone - Only side port works
Factory reset your phone - Yes , i did that. However firmware stays the same. So i am not sure how to downgrade.
There is a side port for charging check if it works there - Yes side port works as mentioned above.

laxmikarnaidur u sure its defective? i only got this issue after firmware update.I guess you got the defective product.
Return the phone to the Seller and claim refund or Exchange it instead of going to the Service Centre

Gustav_ASUSHi Gustav, thanks! i just got a 1:1 exchange today , lets see if i update this phone to the latest firmware will make it go bonkers again.@NexTRTL If you're able to visit a service center, let them have a look at your device. I'll send you a PM as well.
