Hi, its been 6 months since my Asus ZenFone 2 doesn't boot and stuck at Asus Logo. Though I had a new phone so I moved my Asus SIM to it...but my data is caged inside Asus. Service support is pathetic nowdays...I tried to reach customer support provided service centre in Mumbai but they refused their partnership with Asus. Now today the fone doesn't display battery charging icon if I connect it to charger. USB icon flash on screen sometimes and doesn't display Asus start if I long press power button. May be the battery became weak !!
Suggest wht are the possible issues ?
Any resolution to this. And how can I get my data from phone memory

hello, Abhijeet. I also have Zenfone 2 😉 Actually, I had 3 of them. I wanted to buy them, because I am in Ukraine and we have war, so I wanted a small computer (phone) with Windows in my pocket. So I knew that Zenfone 2 supports installing Windows to it in KVM mode (so speed is fastest - no emulation). But when I tried to reinstall Android to it - it became unable to start. So I've bought another Zenfone 2 (also used) (second was given to me for free as bonus). So I had just one working Zenfone 2, and second was half working (booting only to pre-OS environment), and third is not turning on. I decided to sell the two non-working. one man had some programmator for ASUS (it is on computer bazaaar/market), so he bought them two just for 10$. He said that he can take out some components from one phone and put it into another, so maybe one will be working. Unfortunately, I think I sold him it with new battery (and new screen) which I installed to Zenfone2 =-(. So my current Zenfone 2 is working in old case, and my power on/off button was broken yesterday (I still can turn on/off, but have to first remove the case of phone, fortunately case is good for fast removal - without screewdriver even. I even have problems with SIM-cards - they often are unable to be visible in phone (not fixing reliably).
So I can suggest you to find some local service center. But I think it will not be official ASUS service center. Because here in Kyiv I also went to ASUS official service center, but they said that my device is too old and so unsupported. So you need to find some comptuter enthusiasts on computer bazzar/market. I was in Delhi in 2004-5, and there bough PC at Nehru Place (I think it's called that way) - some said to be biggest computer market in Delhi. So maybe you can find some similar. And there should be maybe even hundred(s) of small shops and service centers all in one. So if you spend whole day or several days walking here and there asking about your problem, some guys may say they have some devices and experience to help you.
But to me here in Kiyv on computer bazzar they told me that to install Windows on Zenfone2 costs around 100$. But they guarantee that it will be installed in KVM mode (so Windows runs not in emulated mode, but at native speed - because Zenfone2 has Intel processor like on Windows computers/desktops/laptops/tablet pcs - which usually run Windows and not Android).
So it is only a question of money. I think maybe if you are able to remove memory from your Zenfone2 and put it into a more workind device (maybe you'll have to buy it again, the newer - the better) - then you can save your data. Unfortunately, what I was todl, is that when I was trying to update Zenfone2 OS to KVM-enabled (for Windows) version, I probably spoiled its memeory. And it is as bad as memory of CD-R. Which means you record to it once and then you cannot record to it no more. Even worse than in floppy disk (5" of 3"). So memory of all mobibles seems to be so fragile like hell - if you once spoil its boot system, some bootloader, or whatever program is inside, then you will not be able to restore it in any possible way. But there are some specialized service centers who specialize in data recovery. So they can use some special hardware to restore data. You can also try to find them. They restore data from hdd, ssd, cd/dvd etc, so maybe they can restore it from your Zenfone2. Good luck. chant Hare Krishna ad be happy 😉
