I have 2 laptops G614FR-S5054 with Windows11Pro updated for today and with updated to 307 BIOS...
Also I have 2019 Lenovo Yoga X1 with Windows 10 Pro updated with the last BIOS onboard.
I've bought SimPro Dock 2.
1. (power yes = no other functions)
It does not work properly with both ASUS laptops via Type-c PD socket:
Power supply comes in from the dock through Type-c marked with PD sign, ArmorCrate says PD is ON! BUT the power supply is not enough powerfull says Windows notification (when I disconnect main power suply and use ONLY Dock power supply through PD AND if use power supply from 280w charger through Dock... AND it does NOT work if to PLUG IN Dock power supply to Dock, Laptop power supply to Laptop and Type-c to the Type-C marked as PD (power). But my Lenovo works great through its PD socket = gets power and see all connections by USB, HDMI, DP, etc!!!
2. (no power supply = all other functions works great)
Both laptops see USB, HDMI, DVI connections, when I connect it to Type-C socket WITHOUT PD mark (no power in).
3. It was not possible to set up new Firmware to Dock 2 from both of my ASUS, even from the folder Windows 10... But everything was great with my Lenovo...
When you will fix this issue? When it would be possible to use both Type-C to connect all functionality of SimPro Dock 2? Or it would not be possible cause of PD power technical data (it could not transfer enough power to the laptop to work through it with maximum efficiency of CP and GP)? If yes than why you do not mention that "use of SimPro Dock 2 would be with lower funtionability when connected to Type-C with PD"?
