I had problems with sound on ASUS ROG Strix G16 from 2024 model. No mainstream linux distro worked with sound - Ubuntu 24.04, Linux Mint 22, Debian 12, Fedora 40 and others. The problem with the sound drivers was not fixable with any of the methods in forums. FInaly I desided to switch to Arch distro to test as suggested here . I tested with EndevourOS and Garuda. And I had to install kernel latest version of the linux kernel 6.10.*. Only after installing this kernel evrithing worked with the sound out of the box without any need of tweeking. Previous kernels with versions < 6.10.* will not work. I suppose any distros will work when they release the version of kernel that arch distros already use.
