Detailed description:My ASUS Prime 250M-A, Core i5-7400, initially had a single Kingston 8GB module (9905702-017.A00G) channel 1A. I added a Corsair 8Gb module (CMK8GX4M1A2400C16) in channel 1B. All was good.
When I added two Corsair 4GB modules (CMK8GX4M2A2400C16) in 2A & 2B my desktop would not boot. I tried the 2 new 4GB modules alone in 1A & 1B and it boots fine.
What do I need to correct?

make sure ram with same mhz and same capacity with single sided or dual sided.
for example, single sided ram with dual sided ram will not boot windows .
