Hey all,
I just installed an RT-AX86U Pro router. After setting it up and connecting to my Windows 10 laptop, I installed a Samsung T7 Shield 2TB usb drive to the router. I enabled sharing in Windows setup. I can map the network drive to Window file explorer, but when I try to access the usb drive folders I get a Windows security message Access Denied after entering my network credentials. I've tried all of my UN PW combinations, but get the same message: Access Denied.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks,
Mike

I’ve come across this issue. Login credentials = router (ASUSwrt/Web GUI) login credentials. BUT, I found sometimes it would just deny for whatever reason. (Different router, same issue)…
AiProtection complains about it, but I’ve resorted to allow Guest Login on Samba.
Please let me know if that is acceptable or not…

I'll try that and let you know. Thanks for your advice.
