Hello
I am unfortunately having issues with my new RT-BE58U router. 1-2 times daily, the connection to my 2024 Macbook (6E wifi) will become unstable for 1-10 minutes, 30-60% packet loss pinging google.com. Other websites may not respond at all, which would lead you to believe DNS issues may be a part of it. (It's the same regardless of DNS server used, 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, or ISP default.) This resolves after waiting the 1-10 minutes or after manually reconnecting. This happens even with strong signal (-50 to -60 dBm) close to router, on 2.4 as well as 5ghz networks. My iPhone 15 does NOT have the same problem. It continues to work while the Macbook does not. There are no logs in the router's web interface. My previous ISP supplied router did not have this problem.
I have:
Router firmware: 3.0.0.6.102_39342
macOS version: 15.7.2 (24G325)
MacBook WiFi card: Broadcom 0x4388, supports 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (WiFi 6E with 6 GHz support)
I suspect a firmware incompatibility / bug between the client and router. Has anyone with WiFi 6E devices experienced similar issues on BE routers?

It's more likely you have a provider issue dropping connection to your router or modem etc causing temporary IP losses. You can try checking your router WAN DHCP query is set to continuous or aggressive mode in the web GUI. You can also try enabling IPv4 in your web GUI - sometimes it involves the standard a provider uses. Currently, ASUS uses IPv6 by default and turns off IPv4 for higher security but some providers use a hybrid system requiring both IPv4 and IPv6. Not having both enabled will cause the IP loss on some clients. It's a provider server issue.
If it is the router, you could have high band utilization affecting the connection. Close to the router, you should be seeing -30 to -40 dB or better.
You might also try doing a factory reset that sometimes will clear issues.

Can you verify the hardware version on the bottom of the unit or sticker on the box? Just want to make sure it's not the wrong latest version...
