Hi,

I'm new here and not sure if I am in the right space but I need to have a device specifically on the 192.168.1x IP space. When I try to change the specific device that needs it, it my ZenWifi AX won't let me.

Looking for some guidance

thanks

Hi @MoeMan ,

in the default state, once your device is connected to the ASUS router, it will automatically obtain a random virtual IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.3) through the ASUS router's DHCP function.

However, if you wish for your device to use a fixed IP address, you can do so through either of the following methods:

Method 1: Manually specify the IP address through your device's built-in network card settings page.
Method 2: After connecting the device to the ASUS router, enable the manual IP assignment function in the LAN-DHCP server of the router.

For detailed setup steps, please refer to the FAQ below.

Thank you.
