I want to turn on MLO but I don't know what the difference is between these two options for MLO. If I have MLO enabled in the wireless tab but leave "mlo fronthaul for clients" disabled, will my phones and laptops and other devices still support MLO and will it still work?

Hi @jimmysofat6864 ,
Thank you for your inquiry.
- Enabling MLO: When you enable the MLO feature, your Mesh RE (Mesh extender) will be able to establish multiple connections with the main router using MLO technology, improving network stability and transmission speed.
- Enabling MLO Fronthaul for Clients: In addition to the Mesh RE, if you enable the "MLO Fronthaul for Clients" option, other devices on your network (non-Mesh RE) that also support MLO can enjoy the benefits of MLO, such as faster speeds and lower latency.
Thank you.

Asus has an issue with naming. Fronthaul , backhaul, uplink, downlink...
I think! that when you disable MLO fronthaul the connecting device will not able to select the wifi band. But if you set a different SSID for 2.4 and other common for 5G &6G then will work in case that fronthaul is indeed uplink...
