Hello,

I have a ZenWifi AX.  WAN set to xxx.xx.168.10, LAN on xxx.xx.164.10.  I have 3 devices connected to the LAN via static DHCP IP Addresses.  I can ping the wireless LAN devices via the router but cannot ping any of the wireless devices on the LAN from the WAN.  Help???

Hi @fcaraballo ,

Thank you for your inquiry.

To better understand the network connectivity issue you are experiencing, please perform the following tests and provide information:

  1. Firewall settings confirmation: Your router's firewall may be blocking ICMP (Ping) requests from the WAN side. We recommend that you try temporarily disabling the firewall and see if it resolves the issue.
  2. Routing settings confirmation: Please check your router settings to confirm whether the routing table contains a rule that routes the xxx.xx.168.0/24 network segment to the xxx.xx.164.0/24 network segment.
  3. Router factory reset: We recommend that you restore the router to factory settings and reconfigure it to confirm whether the problem can be eliminated. [Wireless Router] When Standard Reset Isn’t Working: Hard Factory Reset - Models list | Official Sup...
  4. WAN-side device test: Please try pinging other WAN-side devices from a WAN-side computer to confirm whether they can be pinged normally.

Please kindly confirm the above information and perform the tests so that we can further analyze the problem.

Thank you for your cooperation.
