Asus RT-BE92U and apple devices issue

rmb4
Star I

I have an ASUS RT-BE92u with new firmware.
My iPad has been disassociated from WiFi many times (lots of information in the router log).

I tried using fix from this forum about disabling OFDMA/802.11ax MU-MIMO for all frequency but problem still exists. Does ASUS have any problems with Apple? Any settings to adjust?

I prepared separatly SSID for 5 GHz and 6GHz. In BE asus router I dont see Smart connect option in the setting. Default when you to prepare new SSID all frequencies was added. On the "old" ASUS GT-AX6000 I was Smart connect options in wireless setings.

yes I re-enable OFDMA MU-MIMO and iPAD connection works great.

Hi @rmb4 ,

To more accurately identify the problem, we would like you to confirm the following:

  1. Other device status: Besides the iPad, do your other devices (such as smartphones, computers) also experience disconnection issues when connecting to this router? We suggest you try connecting with other devices to rule out if it is an iPad-specific issue.
  2. Smart Connect setting: The RT-BE92U supports the Smart Connect feature, which can automatically connect devices to the best band. Please check if this feature is correctly set up and whether enabling or disabling this feature affects the disconnection. You can refer to the following FAQ:[Wireless Router] How to configure the Smart Connect in ASUS Router? | Official Support | ASUS Globa...
  3. Firmware update: Ensure that your router firmware is up-to-date. The latest firmware usually includes bug fixes and performance optimizations, which can help improve router stability.
  4. Factory reset: If the above methods do not solve the problem, we recommend that you try resetting the router to its factory settings. This will clear all custom settings and restore it to its factory state. Before performing a factory reset, please be sure to back up your settings. You can refer to the following FAQ: [Wireless Router] When Standard Reset Isn’t Working: Hard Factory Reset - Models list | Official Sup...

Thank you for your reply.

To better understand the AirDrop connectivity issue you're experiencing, we would like to further confirm:

  2. Screenshot for reference: You mentioned that you cannot find the "Smart Connect" option in the "Wireless & General" settings. Could you please take a screenshot of that page and provide it to us for reference, so we can better understand your device settings?
  3. System feedback: We recommend that you use the "Feedback" function in system to report the issue to Apple when it occurs. This will help us more accurately understand the problem and make improvements.

You can submit a feedback form Web GUI (http://www.asusrouter.com).
