Please, Help me. Asus PRIME Z790M-PLUS D4, igpu not working on i9 -13900T

hi,

I have a new Asus PRIME Z790M-PLUS D4 motherboard, and i9-13900T cpu.

If its all put together with a discrete graphic card it boots up fine.

If it take the discrete graphic card out, the built in iGPU does not post. I have reset the c-mos, and still nothing. All i get is 1 long 3 short beeps. The error looks like no iGPU UHD 770 Graphics VGA is supported (there is no signal in HDMI motherboard output).

If anyone has a way to get it working?  What could be the problem?

Just a few months ago, another member described the same problem as me, but he had a motherboard Z790 ProArt although curiously the same processor as me,  i9 13900t.

This is the thread:

@Extravaganza  Finally, did you find a solution?

 Thanks in advance,

I think your iGPU isn't being recognized on your Asus motherboard with the i9-13900T. You can try these following solutions it will help you definitely

  1. Check BIOS Settings: Ensure the iGPU is enabled in the BIOS. Go to "Advanced" or "Chipset" settings and set "Integrated Graphics" to "Enabled" or "Auto." Also, set "Primary Display" to "iGPU."

  2. Update BIOS: Make sure your BIOS is up to date, as newer versions may fix compatibility issues.

  3. Reseat the CPU: Ensure the CPU is properly seated in the socket.

  4. Test Different Monitor: Try a different HDMI cable or monitor to rule out peripheral issues.

  5. Minimal Setup: Boot with just the CPU, one stick of RAM, and the motherboard to isolate the issue.

I hope this work for you and resolve your issue easily. If still facing issue then you should connect with ASUS Support team......

Hello @bmwjavier

Thank you for providing the detailed information and @Nemanfrank  thank you for your troubleshooting reply.
May I ask if you have updated to the latest BIOS version 1663 and cleared CMOS, but the issue still persists?
Generally, using the iGPU alone for video output does not require additional BIOS adjustments.
We recommend that you follow the suggestions mentioned earlier and refer to the user manual to ensure all hardware is correctly installed, including checking for bent pins on the CPU.
Please also refer to [Motherboard] Troubleshooting - No Power/No Boot/No Display and, if necessary, cross-test with a different CPU or contact the distributor as soon as possible since you've just made the purchase.

Thank you.
